Thanksgiving Feast

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had what feels like a feast for our first Thanksgiving together as a married couple. We thought it would be a fun thing to have our first Thanksgiving just us at home. We started cooking at 3pm, ate at 5:30 and finish cleaning the kitchen at 6:30 and boy were we tired by the end of it! But our dinner was worth it! We had a little turkey breast which we cooked in the crock pot, sweet potatoes, twice-baked potatoes, beans, salad, pretzel salad, all topped off with sparkling cider and pumpkin pie for dessert. I have never cooked so much food but it was fun cooking it together. The rest of our Thanksgiving day was just enjoying being home in our cozy, warm apartment and enjoying the company of each other. We have much to be thankful for this year. We are thankful for our wonderful family and friends, our Savior, the church, our apartment, the fact that we always seem to have enough money to get all that we need, a running car, that Griffin is getting a good education at BYU, that I have a job that can help pay for things, and our relationship and love we share with each other.

  1. How wonderful! You look good in that apron Kate! You will never forget your first Thanksgiving just the two of you, what a perfect idea.
