Our first 4th of July as a couple in Provo was wonderful! On July 3rd, to start the 4th of July weekend, we went to a movie, Knight and Day, and then headed to get shaved ice after. We then we back to our apartment, had a nap, made sandwiches and then headed to Stadium of Fire! It was a beautiful night as we walked to the Stadium. We had great seats and view of the stadium. The performers were the 5 Browns, Jenny Oaks Baker and the Osmond, 2nd Generation. They were all really good but we couldn't wait for the featured artist, Carrie Underwood! She put on a great performance and was really good live! Being at the Stadium of Fire really made us appreciate the freedom we have and for the people who fight for us everyday. It is also more personal this year because Griffin's brother, Mckay is in the Marines and currently in Afghanistan. We appreciate him so much for all he is doing for our family and our country.

On the 4th of July we went to church, came home, had a nap, and then ate dinner or "brinner". We had strawberry banana crepes and made blueberry muffins to get the red, white, and blue. It was delicious and very festive dinner for the fourth of July.

On July 5th, Provo put on a Grand parade that was literally a street away from our apartment. We met up with Griffin's brother and his family and watched the parade. It was a great parade with a lot of floats, balloons, animals and bands. My favorite was the Llamas, only in Utah!

The 4th of July weekend was so much fun, especially since it was our first holiday spent together as a couple. I can't wait for the 4th of July celebrations to come!
The correct term is brenner! Looks like a good fourth of July in Provo. I couldn't help noticing that each days activity included a nap. Still attached to sleep I see. Good to know things haven't changed now that you are a married woman!
